Bephis Bring

Bephis Bring (Japanese: 地精道ベフィス・ブリング, Kanji translation: Earth Spirit Road-way, Romaji: befisu buringu) is an earth shamanistic spell.

By calling on the power of the earth spirit Bephimos, a tunnel is created through the earth. It is possible to dig a tunnel horizontally, or to create a vertical tunnel and use it as a pit trap. As long as the target is made of earth, the spell works, but it has no effect against wooden boards or metal. The somatic element of the spell involves the caster placing their hands together, pointing upwards, thumbs touching, fingers straight and together, wrists bent at 90º and arms fully outstretched.

• Bephis Bring appears in the trading card game Slayers Fight during its first season, as card #155.

Examples of Use

• Lina Inverse used it on the floor of the roof of Halcyform's mansion to escape from him in Slayers NEXT's 5th episode.
• Zelgadiss Graywords used it to attack Almayce in Slayers TRY's 8th episode.
• Galev's band of mercenaries, along with Naga the Serpent, used the spell to dig out the giant Orihalcon Golem in Slayers RETURN.
