An Immediate Result? Love's Whereabouts Are in the Tiny Differences! (Japanese: 効果覿面? 恋の行方は紙一重!) is the seventeenth episode of Slayers TRY. It was first broadcast in Japan on July 25, 1997. In this episode, Amelia and Gourry meet up, and saved a love between a fishwoman and a human male.

This whole episode is filled with references to the anime series Evangelion:
- The boy, Kerel, is looking similar to Kaworu. Both characters are introduced in a similar way too, sitting on a rock and looking at the ocean. Moreover, these characters are played by the same voice actor (Akira Ishida) in both series.
- The fish-girl, Lila, has a similar face (and later hairstyle) with Rei Ayanami. In both series they are voiced by Megumi Hayashibara.
- The fish-man, Honar, has a similar face with Gendou Ikari. In his flashback, his younger self looks similar to Shinji Ikari.
- The yellow dress that Amelia wears is almost the same with the one that Asuka is seen wearing.
