Jimmy Zoppi aka Carter Cathcart (born March 8, 1954 in West Long Branch, West Long Branch, New Jersey) is an American bassist, vocalist, and voice-over artist. He has been playing with bands since high school and has been a bassist and vocalist of the Carter Cathcart Band since 1981. Zoppi's first voiceover part was O.G. Readmore on the ABC Weekend Special. After that, he recorded voice overs for Kit Kat candy bars, Good Humor, Coors Light, and others. Jimmy Zoppi later auditioned and got several roles (such as Gary Oak) in the then-unknown Pokémon series. Since 2006, he took over for Eric Stuart and Maddie Blaustein as James and Meowth respectively for Pokémon. He has since become known for a prolific amount of anime dub voice work for Central Park Media, Media Blasters, DuArt Film and Video TAJ Productions, and was sometimes known to lend his voice to 4Kids Entertainment. This lasted until an episode of Sonic X where he performed the voice of Vector; afterwards he hardly ever starred in a 4Kids Based series.
In the Slayers anime, he did the voice of Philionel El Di Saillune (after Matt Black left), Dilgear, Vrumugun, and many bandit bosses throughout the three seasons.
