The Knight of Aqualord (Japanese: 水竜王すいりゅうおうの騎士きRomaji: suiryūō no kishi) is a human who possesses a piece of Aqualord Ragradia's spirit.
When Aqualord Ragradia perished in the Kōma War approximately a millennium ago, some amount of his power remained in the world. A human who possesses a fragment of this power is known as the Knight of Aqualord.
While this shard of the Aqualord's might provides the Knight with superhuman strength and healing as well as shinzoku abilities, it does not grant them access to the Aqualord's knowledge or the Claire Bible, unlike Auntie Aqua and the Eternal Queen.

The Knight has a profound affinity with shinzoku energy which can enhance their abilities if present in proximity. When in strong resonance with another divine power, the Knight becomes powerful enough to fight on par with a high-ranking mazoku priest or general, and have the upper hand. Imbued with the Aqualord's raw strength, the Knight turns into a destructive force to be reckoned with. Yet, it is vaguely hinted that the Knight of Aqualord is still not equal in power to the Knight of Ceifeed.
Moreover, only the Knight of Aqualord can wield the sacred sword known as The Banisher. In the hands of another, the blade shrinks to the point of being useless. The sword has the ability to manipulate water and transform into a dragon’s claw that opens up and dispels water, all while serving as an efficient vector for the Knight's shinzoku powers.
The current Knight of Aqualord is Lyos. The only known former Knight of Aqualord is Nanashi's comrade who perished in battle against mazoku, though his exact identity is yet to be confirmed.
