The Psy-blade (サイ・ブレード Sai burēdo?) is a weapon used in Lost Universe. It is a laser sword that relies on the user's psychic power being channeled into the hilt in order to materialize its blade. However, it requires tremendous mental strength to stay functional, and the user cannot use the blade for an extended amount of time as it eventually wears them down.
In appearance, the psy-blade is almost identical to the Gorun Nova's form as the Sword of Light, and both of their sound effects resemble those of a lightsaber from Star Wars. This similarity between both swords seems intentional as it partly explains why the Sword of Light would choose to manifest itself as a laser sword in the Slayers world; being that this type of weaponry already exists in its universe of origin.
Kane Blueriver received both his psy-blade and its techniques from his grandmother, Alicia shon Stargazer, who had previously received them from her brother, Albert.
