I've always had a problem with that Jillas Jillos Jilles or Jiras Jiros Jires, as it appears as well. I mean, there are just a few Japanese pages that lists his full name as that (wikipedia and a few more, and even there seem to be some discrepancies about how to write it), that I'm not altogether sure if it's in fact his real name. But~ that's not really the point. I think that the main article should be named just Jiras, and then maybe a redirection for the full name to that main article, since almost everybody know him simply as Jiras. --shansito 13:37, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

We usually have the character's official full name as the article title, so if this really is Jillas'/Jirras' full name then I think that "Jillas" and "Jiras" should be the redirects instead. As for the authenticity of the name: I have no idea about that, I've never seen this form before, but this was introduced by Argy in the manual of style page, so perhaps we should ask her instead. I will leave a note at her LJ account. --Pip25 15:40, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
Hm, it seems I cannot PM her at LJ, so I guess I'll use the user talk page instead. --Pip25 16:20, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
I have since sold the book, but the full name is in the "Slayers TRY Special Collection 3" anime guide/artbook. --Argy 16:25, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
Ah, I see. Thanks! :) I guess that settles it then. --Pip25 16:35, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
OK, then it's really the official name, good enough for me ^^ --shansito 17:01, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Jillas name... again xD[]

After 7 years, I come again with the "Jillas VS Jillas Jillos Jilles" topic xD I finally managed to get my hands on the three volumes of the Slayers TRY Special Collection :3 and although I'm cheking them word by word, I haven't found any mention at all to Jillas' name being Jillas Jillos Jilles =P but there IS a page titled "ジラス!ジラス!ジラス!" (Jillas! Jillas! Jillas!), which I'm thinking might be the origin of this possible confussion :3 anyway I'll check and re-check all three volumes in depth to be entirely sure. --shansito (talk) 17:54, August 5, 2015 (UTC)

Wow, that's really weird. O_o Google-ing the name in katakana gives quite a lot a of hits, I wonder where they got this from...? --Pip25 (talk) 12:46, August 6, 2015 (UTC)
FINALLY! I found the reference Argy was talking about so many years ago. Actually it's not on any official guidebook, but on a supplement issue that came with the Animedia magazine back on 1997. No wonder it was so difficult to check. --shansito (talk) 01:10, November 4, 2018 (UTC)
Great find! :D To think an info like this would only be available in such a obscure source... --Pip25 (talk) 16:06, November 4, 2018 (UTC)
