Since the real (and official) name is Ruby Eye Shabranigdu, the redirect should work the other way around, shouldn't it? --Shansito 17:19, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Reverted it. I'm starting to get a headache... :( --Pip25 17:14, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

mazoku lords[]

You could search thousand of websites, and who knows who used that term for the first time, but in truth it's one of the more extended. It could be something related to their kanji, since the 5 of them have the kanji for "lord/king" (as well as Shabranigdu, of course) maybe someone didn't want to "lessen" them :/ but the thing is that no Japanese site has them as "mazoku lords", just as "retainers" or simply included in a "mazoku" section --Shansito 14:15, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Now that I've looked into it, QP/Diana uses the term "sub-lords" in her mazoku essay. Still, considering that "retainer" seems to be merely a more sophisticated form of "lackey" (which isn't saying much) :), the term "mazoku lords" might still be a good way to refer to the group. --Pip25 14:37, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
I have to agree with Shansito if no official source uses the term mazoku lords. Unless it's a section on fanon, I don't think fan terms should be used. --Flarecarrot 21:45, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
What I am saying is that if no official term really exist for this group (which I am still not quite sure about), then we will still need one. My problem with "the five retainers" is that it's simply "the five subordinates of Shabranigdu" said somewhat differently. :) Even if mazoku lords isn't used anywhere officially, it does seem to be a pretty widespread term, so it could be used if no suitable official alternative exists. --Pip25 22:06, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
But "the five retainers" is an official term... And I don't see the problem of alternate official translations, it will help people find it more easily. If you are still intent on using "mazoku lords," I would prefer it if you added something like "by fans" so people aren't misled into thinking it's an official term. --Flarecarrot 01:09, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
You are probably right. I still don't feel too well about using "the five retainers", but I guess that's all we have for the time being. :/ I will note this in the article. --Pip25 11:13, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
