The Tower as seen from miles away in the manga.
The Tower of Wind (Japanese:トーアー オフ ウィンド Romanji: tooaa ofu windo) is the dwelling place of Airlord Valwin located in the west of the Slayers world, beyond the Mazoku barrier. It appears to be in the middle of the ocean.
As Airlord's residence, the Tower emits an intense aura, palpable from a considerable distance. It is formed by powerful currents of wind which converge at the vortex in the center. While it initially appears as a singular flowy column from afar, it is in reality enormous in size and seemingly extends to the sky.
The Tower of Wind makes its appearance in Slayers: Knight of Aqualord when Lina Inverse seeks Airlord Valwin to borrow his power in her fight against Huraker.
The Tower is accessible through a path, created by the ancestors of Orun's smithing village. They engineered the divine power they had obtained into a sigil embedded in the ground located in their castle's ruins. When activated, it propels an individual at what would seem to be the speed of sound. There is no discomfort felt when travelling to the Tower of Wind, but rather tranquility and oneness with the world, as experienced by Lina Inverse.
